Go for PB: The course is measured according to the specifications of AIMS and IAAF and classified as flat according to the official measurement protocol. The difference between the highest and the lowest point of the course is only a few meters. According to a study (HD Sports, 2014), the Salzburg Marathon is the fastest marathon run in Austria in terms of average finisher times. If you would like to dare a new distance or if you would like to improve your personal best, you will find perfect conditions!

By the way: The courses of Friday's and Saturday's competitions are also very flat.

The emotional highlight of all Sunday's competitions is the finish straight in front of the world-famous Fetival Hall with an exclusive view on Fortress “Hohensalzburg“, the world-wide known landmark of Salzburg!

Varied course, magnificient scenery: The running course combines in an extraordinary way the atmosphere of a city marathon with the soothing tranquillity of the passages through the green nature on the outskirts of Salzburg. On the varied, 21.1 kilometre long course, you will experience a special, varied musical journey thanks to a number of motivated music groups.
